The variety of crocodile
The primary factor in determining the value of crocodile skin is the variety, which is somewhat similar to jewelry, and follows the principle that things are rare. The price of a variety that is beautiful, everyone wants to get, but supplies less is naturally expensive. On the contrary, the varieties with unlimited supply, such as Siamese crocodile and caiman, can't be firm, and can only be used to make ordinary fashion products.
There are five types of crocodile skin commonly used for leather goods:
1. Crocodile (porosus), also known as saltwater crocodile
2, Nile crocodile (Nile or niloticus)
3, American crocodile (Alligator) also known as alligator or Mihe crocodile 4, Siamese crocodile (siamensis) also known as Thai crocodile
5, Caiman (Caiman) In addition to this, there have been some hybrid varieties in recent years, detailed later.
Generally, the top luxury brands in the world only use the three kinds of leather materials, such as bay crocodile, Nile crocodile and American crocodile. Because these skin sources are scarce, they are basically monopolized by these brands, and they will not affect the brand because of the unlimited supply of the last bad street value.
