Nano nylon
According to Toray chemical company of Japan, the company has successfully developed a new technology of "nanofibers" with nano scale monofilament structure whose diameter is two digits smaller than that of the previous ultra-fine fibers, and reached the limit of fiber fineness by controlling the nano structure technology. Toray chemical said that the company has used this new technology to develop nylon nanofibers composed of more than 1.4 million monofilaments with a diameter of 10 μ M. Compared with the previous products, the surface area of this kind of fiber is about 1000 times that of the previous products, and it has high surface activity.
