Hand touch
That is to say, if you touch the surface of leather with your hand, if you feel smooth, soft, plump and elastic, it is genuine leather; while the surface of general synthetic leather is astringent, rigid and soft. When pressing the leather surface with fingers, there are no obvious pores and wrinkles. If there are wrinkles after pressing, they will not disappear naturally.
Seeing
There are clear pores and patterns on the surface of genuine leather, symmetrical fine pores in cattle hide, thick and sparse pores in yak skin and fish scale pores in goat skin. Whether there are pores on the leather surface is an important feature to identify the true and false leather.
Nose smell
All leather has the smell of leather, while artificial leather has a strong plastic smell.
light
A little fiber is torn off from the back of real leather and artificial leather. After ignition, the artificial leather that emits pungent smell and forms pimples; the genuine leather that emits hair smell and does not form hard pimples. Cut off the corner, burning, smelly, but not the scorching smell of hair.
Water absorption identification
The water absorption of dermis is better than that of pseudodermis. You can dip your fingers in some water and wipe it on the surface of the garment to observe its water absorption. If it has good water absorption, it is genuine leather. If it has poor water absorption or no water absorption at all, it is mostly fake leather.
